Rebecca Beaton

Downhill & Enduro

Hi, my name is Rebecca Beaton. I was born and raised in the Pemberton Valley Hi, my name is Rebecca Beaton. I was born and raised in the Pemberton Valley where I now learn and play on the unceded territory of the Lil’wat Nation. I'm entering my second year in the role of Ambassador after two years as a RLG athlete. I grew up riding bikes and racing BMX but didn’t discover my passion for mountain biking until Covid hit in 2020. I started racing downhill and enduro racing in 2021 after being encouraged by RLG mentors, board members and fellow mentees. This season, I will be racing the complete BC Cup/Canada Cup downhill series as well as a handful of enduros.

In the spring of 2022, I started a program with the support of PORCA (Pemberton Off Road Cycling Association), my local Trail Association. This program, Girls on Wheels, is a free, weekly social ride for girls aged 12-18. It's a non-competitive, non-apologetic, non-coached ride for girls to get together, share knowledge, gain confidence, and support each other. My goal is that with the support of Ride Like a Girl, we will be able to create more opportunities for females in the bike industry like this one. I love this sport and I want to share my passion with others.
