Cyclocross, Road & Track
Hello, I'm Kimberly and I am a multi-discipline rider based in Victoria. I will be 18 this year and I will be tackling my final year as a junior racer, graduating highschool, and taking on the role of ambassador for my 2nd year! I've dabbled in BMX, enduro, XC, cyclocross, road, and track since I began riding, but in 2024 my focus will primarily be track, followed by road and cyclocross. My big goal this year is to represent Canada at the Junior Track World Championships in august. I hope to also continue competing at the national level in road and cyclocross, while occasionally racing my mountain bike for fun.
Previously, I'd been a part of this program as a mentee for two years before I took on the role of an ambassador, and I was given amazing opportunities to learn and grow as a person and athlete. Connecting with other girls who rode was a really special experience for me as a younger rider. Last year I took on new leadership opportunities, including coaching for my local club and being an ambassador for Ride Like a Girl. The realization that I was capable of creating impact was motivating for me to continue to give back to the cycling community which has given me so much growth over the years. It was also a great challenge for me to put my interpersonal skills to the test, and push the boundaries of my comfort zone!
This sport and its community has really shaped me into the person I am today, and I look forward to continuing to be a part of this awesome group of girls and women!
