Cynthia Young
Enduro & Cross-country
Athlete match: Maggie Cormack
Cynthia Young sees mountain biking as a metaphor for life and loves to share the sport with others. After spending more than a decade racing bikes competitively she switched her focus to teaching and coaching and encouraging women to get more involved in the sport.
As an instructor and guide for Endless Biking, Cynthia brings her enthusiasm for racing and ride development to riders of all ages and experience levels. She’s raced just about everything on two wheels and is always up for trying something new and encouraging those she rides with to expand their comfort levels and do the same. A strong proponent of responsible recreation, Cynthia is committed to keeping her first aid skills fresh and being closely involved with the North Shore Mountain Bike Association. She hopes that all trail users see the value in having current first aid training and supporting their local trail association in whatever way they can.
With race plates and timing chips stashed away for now, she’s switched to enjoying tailgate aprés and riding in party shirts. No longer measuring distance or heart rates, but measuring fun times had and good people connected with along the way.
